Review request after payment
When a customer pays in full, draft a personal review request that mentions their actual job, sent after your approval.
- 01Find paid jobs. Query QuickBooks for invoices paid in full in the last 7 days, with the customer, the invoice lines, and the customer's email.
- 02Filter. Drop customers on the do-not-ask list, invoices under the minimum, customers asked in the last 12 months according to the log, and any customer with an open disputed or overdue invoice.
- 03Draft the note. Write a short email per customer that thanks them by name, mentions the actual work from the invoice lines in plain words, and includes the review link. One ask, no incentives, no pressure.
- 04[Approval gate] Review each note and its recipient before anything is sent.
- 05Send and log. Send the approved emails from Gmail and add a row per customer to the log with the date and invoice number.
Never offer a discount, gift, or anything else in exchange for a review.
Never ask for a positive review specifically, and never send a follow-up reminder.
Never send to a customer with an open complaint, dispute, or unpaid balance.
Never change anything in QuickBooks.
