Contract renewal watch

Each week, warn owners about vendor contracts nearing renewal, with the notice deadline worked out from your register.

// what it does
  1. 01Read the register. Load every row. List rows missing a renewal date, an owner, or a contract link as setup problems.
  2. 02Find what is coming up. Keep contracts whose renewal date, or whose notice deadline (renewal date minus notice period), falls within the warning window and that were not already flagged this cycle.
  3. 03Work out the deadline. For each contract, compute the last day to give notice from the renewal date and notice period. Where the register leaves auto-renewal, notice method, or price change blank, say they are not recorded.
  4. 04Write the brief. For each contract, write a short note with the vendor, annual value, renewal date, the last day to give notice, how notice must be given, whether it auto-renews, the price change on renewal, and the link to the contract so the owner can check the terms.
  5. 05Notify the owners. Post the briefs to the Slack channel, mentioning each owner, nearest notice deadline first.
  6. 06Mark them. Write today's date in the register's flagged column for each contract you reported.
// guardrails in the draft

Never contact a vendor or give notice. This agent warns people; people decide.

Report terms only as the register records them. Never assume a default notice period or auto-renewal; you do not read the contract itself.

Treat the notice deadline as the date that matters, and call out any that has already passed.

Contract terms and values are confidential: post only to the configured channel.

Make contract renewal watch yours.

Request access and we'll start with a private draft. You keep control of the tools, permissions, tests, and publication decision.
